    Normal People

I’ve been longing to re-read this one ever since I saw the trailer for the Hulu adaptation, and it did not disappoint. This novel follows Marianne and Connell as they go from top students in a small Irish town to college in Dublin. As they learn more about themselves, their relationship evolves, and no matter what happens around them, they can’t seem to stay away from one another.

    Good Talk

I usually don’t read graphic novels, but when I heard about this one, I knew I couldn’t miss it. This intimate memoir follows Mira’s life from childhood to motherhood and the conversations she had along the way. I read this one so quickly the first time around, I can’t wait to see what new details I uncover.

    Funny Girl

Nick Hornby has been one of my favorite authors for years, so I’m ready for a reread of this one before his new novel, Just Like You, is published. Taking place in England of the 1960s, this novel follows the progress of a fictional TV show ala I Love Lucy and the funny leading lady behind it. In the time of binge watching, it’s a fun look back at the early years of comedy television.

    Star-Crossed

Romantic comedies are one of my favorite genres to re-read and this book definitely fits the bill. It follows Justine, a newly promoted contributions manager of a magazine and Nick, her former love interest turned neighbor. When Justine realizes that Nick is obsessed with following his life by the astrology section of her magazine, she takes it into her own hands to send him the hint that he should pursue her. As in all good rom-coms, things don’t turn out the way she planned, but you won’t want to miss a page.

    The Night Circus

From the moment I started reading this book, I was hooked. The tale of a battle between magicians and the mysterious circus in the middle of it is one that I can’t wait to get back to. Fantasy, intrigue, romance—this one has it all and I’m ready to go back for another helping.
